A small drinking cup, that also doubbles as a holder for modern tea candles. The cup is in clay and burned black in a pit kiln, just the way vikings did their ceramics. The blackburn gives a mottled effect and very shiny black colour. The black reminds you of graphite in colour. The Vikings in Scandinavia started using this technique for burning ceramics and pieces made this way has been found in many Viking settlements among them in Birka outside Stockholm. Hand wash only.
